MMDC offers several specializations under the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, designed for students pursuing careers in both technology and business. This four-year program includes a capstone project and an internship, with most students completing coursework in three to three and a half years.

Does MMDC Provide Cisco Certifications?

MMDC doesn’t directly issue Cisco certifications, but our IT courses are designed to prepare you for industry-recognized exams like the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). When you graduate, you’ll earn a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) from a CHED-recognized institution—giving you a solid academic foundation and the confidence to pursue certifications like the CCNA.

In addition, MMDC offers its own Certification Programs powered by Coursera. You’ll gain access to high-quality courses featuring industry-approved content and certifications that are recognized both locally and internationally. Each course is carefully selected to align with the skills that employers are looking for—both in the Philippines and around the world.

What Programming Languages Will Be Used for IT?

The BSIT program covers key programming languages widely used in the industry, including:

• Java
• Python
• JavaScript
• Ruby

These languages provide the foundation for software development, web development, and data analysis. Depending on your specialization, additional languages and tools may be introduced. For example:

• C or SQL for students focusing on Network & Cybersecurity
• R or SQL for those specializing in Data Analytics

This approach ensures you gain practical, industry-relevant coding skills throughout your studies.

Development-Focused Program

If you love solving problems and creating innovative solutions, the Development-Focused track is for you. This path is all about building technical expertise and exploring the nuts and bolts of technology.

• Software Development Are you fascinated by apps, websites, or cutting-edge software? In this specialization, you’ll master programming languages, learn to build software from scratch, and gain the skills to test, debug, and deploy your creations. With this foundation, you’ll be ready to take on roles like software developer or system designer—shaping the tech we use every day!
• Network & Cybersecurity Think of this as the digital defense track. If you’re passionate about protecting systems and keeping data safe, this is the specialization for you. You’ll learn about cybersecurity standards and frameworks, as well as how to manage and maintain secure networks. By the time you graduate, you’ll be ready to tackle jobs like cybersecurity analyst or network operations administrator.

Business-Focused Program

For those who see themselves at the intersection of technology and business, the Business-Focused track is the way to go. This path is all about applying tech skills to solve real-world business challenges.
