Latin Honors Eligibility
MMDC recognizes academic excellence among eligible students, including transferees. If you're transferring from another institution, you can still be eligible for Latin Honors provided you meet the following conditions:
- Course Completion: At least 80% of your program’s required courses must be completed at MMDC.
- General Weighted Average GWA: Latin Honors are determined based on your General Weighted Average (GWA), which is calculated using the grades you receive in your courses at MMDC.
Latin Honors Criteria
- Summa Cum Laude: GWA of 1.00 ≤ GWA ≤ 1.25
- Magna Cum Laude: GWA of 1.26 ≤ GWA ≤ 1.50
- Cum Laude: GWA of 1.51 ≤ GWA ≤ 1.75
Achieving these honors requires academic excellence, and meeting the required percentage of courses completed at MMDC ensures your eligibility for these prestigious recognitions.
Grading System
MMDC follows a grading scale where 1.00 is the highest grade. This grading scale is complemented by a rubric-based evaluation system that assesses specific assignments and projects.
Official Grading Scale:

Rubric-Based Evaluation:

Rubric-based evaluations provide additional feedback on your performance and help you identify areas where you are doing well and where you may need further improvement.
These grading systems ensure fairness, transparency, and an accurate reflection of your academic progress throughout your time at MMDC.
