Your previous courses may count toward your MMDC degree!
If you've previously attended college and are planning to transfer to Mapúa Malayan Digital College (MMDC), some of your completed courses may be eligible for crediting, depending on their alignment with your chosen MMDC program.
To help you prepare, here's everything you need to know about the requirements and credit evaluation process.
1. What Documents Should You Prepare?
As a transferee applicant, you'll need to prepare the following documents for admission and credit evaluation:
Admission Requirements:
- PSA Birth Certificate
- Transcript of Records (TOR)
- Course Descriptions, Syllabi, or Prospectus
- Certificate of Good Moral Character
- Original Transfer Credential Package or Honorable Dismissal
- Government-issued IDs of your parents or spouse (if applicable)
- 1.5 × 1.5 ID photo with a white background
Additional Requirement for Credit Evaluation:
- Accomplished and signed Request for Credit Evaluation Form (RCEF)
For the complete admission requirements, visit:

Reminder: Prepare clear and readable scanned copies of your documents. Make sure all pages are complete and no important details are cut off.
2. How Does Credit Evaluation Work?
Previously completed college courses may be evaluated for possible credit toward your chosen MMDC program.
The evaluation generally involves:
- Completing the RCEF – Indicate the courses from your previous school that you would like evaluated for crediting.
- Submitting supporting documents – Prepare your TOR or Certificate of Grades (COG), along with the corresponding course descriptions or syllabi.
- Document verification – The Admissions Team reviews your RCEF against your submitted academic records for accuracy and completeness.
- Academic evaluation – Once verified, your documents are forwarded to the Academics Team for formal evaluation.
- Evaluation results – You'll be informed of the outcome and the applicable next steps.
Important: Submission of an RCEF does not automatically guarantee course crediting. All requests are subject to formal evaluation and approval.
3. What Are the Criteria for Course Crediting?
The Academics Team considers the following criteria when evaluating courses:
- Minimum grade requirement: Courses with grades below 80% are not eligible for crediting.
- Course alignment: The course description and learning content must align with the equivalent MMDC course.
- Academic approval: Final crediting decisions are subject to the Academics Team's formal evaluation.
Meeting the minimum grade requirement does not automatically guarantee approval.
4. What If You Don't Want to Request Any Course Credits?
If you prefer not to have your previous courses credited, you must still submit a signed Request for Credit Evaluation Form (RCEF) clearly indicating that you are not requesting any course credits.
This allows the Admissions Team to document your decision and proceed with the applicable admissions process.
5. What If Your Course Descriptions Are Incomplete or Unavailable?
We strongly encourage transferee applicants to request their course descriptions or syllabi from their previous school as early as possible.
If you cannot submit all the required course descriptions before enrollment, you may coordinate with your Admissions Advisor regarding the available options.
In certain cases, the Academics Team may allow credit evaluation to continue within the academic term, with assistance from your assigned Integrated Advisor.
Please note: This arrangement is subject to review and approval. Applicants should not assume that incomplete requirements will automatically be accepted.
6. Can You Appeal Your Credit Evaluation Results?
Yes. If you've submitted your course descriptions and disagree with the evaluation results, you may request a review through your assigned Admissions Advisor, who will coordinate with the Academics Team.
Keep in mind that credit evaluation appeals remain subject to the established academic criteria, including the minimum grade requirement of 80% and alignment of course descriptions with MMDC's curriculum.
An appeal does not guarantee a change in the original evaluation results.
7. Important Reminders for Transferee Applicants
To avoid unnecessary delays, keep these reminders in mind:
- Prepare your documents early. Request your TOR, COG, and course descriptions from your previous school as soon as possible. Some institutions may require additional processing time.
- Check for possible course credits. Review your previously completed courses and identify those that may have equivalents in your chosen MMDC program.
- Complete your RCEF accurately. Make sure the courses listed match your academic records. Submit a signed RCEF even if you're declining all course credits.
- Check your email regularly. Watch for document concerns, credit evaluation updates, and instructions on the next steps.
- Allow enough time for evaluation. Credit evaluation requires document verification and academic review, so submit your requirements as early as possible.
- Ask when you're unsure. Contact your assigned Admissions Advisor before making assumptions about document exceptions, course crediting, or evaluation results.
